A two year old song that suddenly enraptured the nation's attention this past summer to become a #1 pop hit, "Hey There Delilah" followed a small town boy waiting for the return of his precious Delilah who's off in the big city attending school. Part of it's tender/ hilarious appeal was the realization that he would be waiting forever cause Delilah was not coming back to Nowheresville to be with his no job having ass!

With it's campfire singalong quality, it's the type of song you adore privately, wailing along in the shower or car, with the windows all rolled up mind you, in fear that the homies would disown you if they knew you liked it (though they're no doubt crooning along to it as well).

In an effort to make it not such a guilty pleasure (considering your stance on Gym Class Heroes or Crazytown), Arroyo Grande, California-born emcee KO flips the tune a bit, adding a simple drum beat to it's sappy acoustic guitar melody, and twisting up the situation so that he's the struggling rapper leaving his girl behind in search of fame. Once again the innocence of it all is laughable ("Tell me that you'll wait for me/ Faithfully/ I won't look at any other girl/ 'Cause she's not you") as you can't shake the feeling that his girl won't be just twiddling her thumbs at home while he's off beating groupies away, but unlike "Delilah" you do get the sense that this could be more of a genuine relationship. De had probably forget all about her Mid-West love (if she even knew of his existence) once she touched down in New York, KO most likely calls his boo everyday, even sending her two front tickets to his LA show so she can see her man in action.

Extending the life of "Hey There Delilah" cause it just hasn't been overplayed enough (insert eye roll), "What U Do" dares to become the newest Internet obsession and finally give us a reason to avoid observing the awkward awesomeness of "Chocolate Rain" for the thousandth time (Though Tay Zonday could easily forge a second "hit" from his ridiculously hot cover of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up").
